How long will it take to fill my order?

As all shibui products are handmade in small batches to ensure freshness, a 3 to 5 day window for fulfillment gives us (and by us, I mean me) time to make a fresh batch if we are running low on stock. 

Filled orders ship out on Mondays to benefit from a full travel week.  You will receive email notification that allows you to track your shipment.  We appreciate your patience and patronage and believe you will find shibui products are worth the wait.

What is your return policy?

Personal care items are, well, personal so please do not send them back.  If you have any concerns, please use our contact form to reach out.  We are only happy when you are happy so we will do everything possible to ensure your satisfaction, from replacing damaged items to refunding your purchase.

I have very sensitive skin, are your products good for me?

​

While many people find natural formulations less irritating to their skin, there are still many sensitizing compounds found in natural ingredients.  If you are concerned, we recommend you opt for the “naked” variants of our bar soaps and butter.  Please note that the facial bars, facial and hair serums do not contain any essential oil blends, so in essence are “naked” as well.

If you are clinically sensitive or have specific allergies, we recommend you review the product ingredient list with your doctor prior to purchasing and follow their advice.

Are your soaps pH balanced?

​

Soaps need to be slightly alkaline to do their job, so technically no.  Every batch of shibui soap is pH tested in a 1% solution to ensure that it is safe for use.  You can find the batch number on the packaging of your bar.

Can I design a custom gift set?

Of course, we just need to be sure we have a big enough shipping box! Please reach out via our contact form and tell us what you are dreaming of.
